Owners of 70,71,72, etc. Look at the factory insulation underneath the driver's and passenger's floors and also at the steel shields that protect the insulation. This was missing on the 70 and upwards (I believe). I'm adding this insulation to my 70.

You have a keen eye. That has been on my list for some time. The trim pieces are also ALL chrome...their interior sections need to be painted the same argent silver as the rims.

The 3 piece insulation is somewhat of a bear to install. If you don't have the pointed clips riveted to the fiberglass floors, you need to get them. I used aluminum tape from Home Depot to cover up any tears or screw-ups. The protective metal covers were re-plated manganese phosphate, also known as parkerizing. Pretty sure '70 and up had protective covers, possibly in different configurations.
