Last time I checked BFG T/A and Firestione 500 offered decent sizes in 15" radials. If you want a more vintage "hot rod" look, Jegs and Summit sell Mickey Thompson and Pro-Trac in the old bias ply sizes (N50 15 anybody?) /:\

Thanks, after more performance rated tire than a BFG T/A, compaired to a modern performance tire the a very slippery. Needing something that can turn corners, my understanding most other tires are drag race orientated ?
Avons fit the bill, but would be nice to have something a bit cheaper

Since you are talking old school tires....does anyone sell something like the old Goodyears or Firestones with the huge solid white letters...they were radials...I could use 15 50's they had that old school cheesy look I want.....

Bats, BFG (T/A), Goodyear (Eagle GT II) and Firestone (Indy 500) do indeed still sell old school 15" RWL radials, but IIRC Goodyear doesn't do a 295/50R15, but from all accounts the Avons well out perform all of the above.

Goodyear Racing Blue Streak tires from Roger Kraus. Very sticky, bias ply, look awesome / vintage. Under 1k for a set of (4) 8x26.5x15 and 10x26.5x15

We run them in vintage trans am, they don't last a weekend on the track say they would be too short lived for street use, they are very soft compound.

True, and they will pick up any debris on the road!
