Looks more like a black or dark brown anniversary to me
I believe that it was a "special" paint option that year. It was called
"Black Silver". It switches from "Black" to A two tone "Silver/Grey" according to the light. (Naaaaa, Just joking) I assume that it is not a Silver Ann. Edition. I was just going by what the owner had told me.
Thanks for all of your help in coming up with a value. I told the lady that has this Vette to expect to get from $6K to $7K for it. If she wanted to do a quick sale, then ask $5,500.00 If anyone is interested in this Vette contact me
Thanks,
JTHVETTE

These C3's are like Mustangs-everywhere and cheap. No power either. In '86 I bought a '79 black on black with mirrored tops and spoilers for $8k and they're still the same price. I owned a Top Flight '78 Pace Car with 63 miles that I bought in 2005 for $22k and sold it 2 yr later for $32,500 on ebay. I set the record for a pace car price then, but I knew to bail out because these cars were going nowhere in value. And 6,502 of them wasn't exactly "limited edition" in my opinion (not like the '72 LT-1 A/C car I now own @ only 240 made). I would only recommend buying these C3's as drivers but not as an investment.
