Hi,
I always wished the liners weren't cut. All the kits I see are cut like NoWhere says.
I found the cut pieces were either a bit to long or short to use as they come.
Isn't it just a half hour job?
Regards,
Alan

I got mine from either Ecklers or Zip and half are the longest length and the other half are (probably, since I haven't done it yet) the length of the longest, short spring. Maybe you are right, at least if I cut them I'll get the correct exact length. As far as taking a half hour, nothing takes me a half hour on the car

Yeah, I agree with that... I grabbed my sharpest aviation snips and cut the liners to the length I wanted them. The Extreme Pressure grease I used made a mess on everything though!

When I first started looking at Vette's, I spent some time at a show talking with a major vendor. The tech working that day said two "wise" things..
1) Plan on the job taking "longer" than expected and 2) Nothing costs less than "fifty dollars"
Both true for me... David
Looking good Fred I'm sure you know, but don't torque those spring bolts until you have the weight back on the wheels otherwise you risk breaking the rear end housing.
What's with the rims & wood blocks? Just holding up the spring I hope. I see the jack stands under the frame.

Hi Jim,
To your point #1 - no I didn't know but as of now, just have them snugged up with a ratchet. thanks
Point #2 - rear of car is on jack stands. The rims and wood blocks are my back-up in case I'm under the car and the jack stand(s) fail
Made (for me, anyway) quite a bit of progress yesterday. Hold up was getting the #1 mount aligned - which I finally did.
