One Ugly Vette
Theres a new350Z in my neighborhood and the owner put adhesive oval port holes all over the car. They go in a circle on the back, 3 on the rear pillar....down the hood and all along the front bumper..

What is the deal with the silly looking hash marks on the front fenders I know it was some c4 race thing but I see them on lots of street cars is it just another form of posing?
Seems very Import tuner Fast and furious to me....

Hum...so if the car isn't a grand sport having the marks is just cheesy posturing...

The hash marks actually go back to sports car racing in the 60s. Back then, race teams didn't have electronic scoring or radios. Timing and scoring was done by marking down on a timing sheet, each car as it went by. Teams that had multiple cars, all painted the same color, would use different color tape marks on each car so that the scorers would identify them easier. The tape marks also helped the pit crews identify which car was pitting, since they didn't have radio comunication.
The strange thing is that I don't recall the 63 Grand Sports ever using hash marks on the fenders. Usually when there was more than one Grand Sport racing in the same color, the team identified them by 6" wide tape stripes on the nose, just to the left of the center, in either red, white or blue. The only car I recall using the red hash marks was a Shelby Cobra, I think it was Ken Miles # 98 car.
I thought it was weird back in 96, when Chevrolet chose to mimic the appearence of a Cobra for their Grand Sport, and I still do.

You have that monstrosity in front of you and all you can come up with is "ugly"

Okay this gross thing called "Tail Gator" is so very horrible it is pretty darn cool in way like Bulldogs are so ugly they are kind of cute,

The idea of a shaker scoop on a C3 is actually sort of neat...if the right scoop was used.

I would never build it or own it....I would be scared to park near it but I can tell the builder is just trying to have some fun and after all that is the spirit of car crafting "FUN"
I say more power to him.

And before you fret too much...take a good look, anyone with some savvy in body work could repair the thing in a few days...the worse damage was the fender cuts, I would fix that with pieces from old fenders....etc

Kinda what ricers do. But to a C6?! WTF!
