70 vette Radiator Cap Help

Default 70 vette Radiator Cap Help
It's good to get the first running hot out of the way this season!!..
Ok... I have an aluminum radiator with the cap on the expansion tank..
It says rc-33.. is that even correct? Can a differant cap keep things cooler? I really aint that hip in "pressure" and overheating...

RC-33 caps are for '73 and up Corvettes. I think you should have an RC 26(?)

Caps do not directly control how hot an engine runs, just the boiling point of the coolant.

Mikes right about the RC26. It's a 15 lb. pressure cap.
