Hi guys I am new to the forum and just bought my '69 coupe last week. I was wondering if I am supposed to have a drop down tray in the back to hold the pop out rear window? My '72 had a button I pushed and the tray dropped down to pop the window and and hide. My '69 looks like it doesnt have a tray, just a clip. Is that the way it is supposed to be?
There is a tray from a '72 on ebay I would like to buy if I need it.
Thanks for the help
Mark
Unless someone has removed it, there should be a tray. There is a lever/handle that has "BACK WINDOW STORAGE" on it under the window between the seats. Pull forward on it (you may have to pull pretty hard) and the tray should drop down (if it's there).
Hi Mark,
The tray for your 69 was originally made of black pressed fiberboard.
The one from the 72 is made from molded black fiberglass. The release design for the 72 (a button) will be different than what came from the factory on your 69 (a clip). As 69M described.
I don't know if this matters to you or not?
Regards,
Alan
