I have a caliper that is leaking. Vette is a 1978 model. Since the car is 30+ years old, I was thinking about replacing all four or rebuilding all four.
Precision Enginering was recommended as a great supplier of brake calipers, however, I can't get anyone to answer the phone. I leave messages, but no one calls back. I could order off the web page, but if won't return calls when you want to buy, what would happen if there was any kink of problem?
Who do you guys recommed? I know there are Vette guys who know a ton more then I do, so I could use the help.

I bought my stainless sleeved calipers for my 65 from them a few years ago and they have performed flawlessly. I have bought SS sleeved calipers elsewhere over the years and did not have good luck.
His answering machine says he is in the shop today and will return calls today. IMO it is worth the effort to get a hold of him. (unless you feel he is going to blow you off, but that hasn't been my experience with them).
Buy local, save time and money and most of the time provide very useful information.....failure of brake systems can usually happen from moisture amounting to rust in the system....it destroys the seals causing leaks. You may need all 4 or wind up installing all 4 , one at a time...Internet purchasing of parts readily available locally is not recommended on this subject. They may claim there different, but they all came from Delco Moraine one time or another....
I have had Precision Engineering ss 'O' ring brakes for about 6 years. A quality product.
Also, they do not screw you around by finding faults with your cores, as some places do. The cores really have to be broken in order not to receive full credit, which they issue promptly.
I bought 4 rebuilt calipers from Precision Engineering (Frank) last summer. They work perfectly and were a great buy (free shipping)
If you leave a message or shoot him an email he WILL get back to you.
I dealt with Frank and he is actually working in the shop most of the time, and fields those emails/messages in the early morning.
They run a very professional business (and they're also military vets )
I've been pleased with VBP's Delco Moraine calipers. Bought all 4 in the kit they offer with new lines, pads, fluid, etc. They also include a nice DVD of installation. I just finished installing the last of all 4.
Last fall I purchased Precision Engineering's rebuild kit and once I took my original calipers off they were too pitted to rebuild. They swapped me out dollar for dollar for the full Master kit with SS rebuilt calipers and master cylinder. Everything fit perfect and brakes feel GREAT!
Highly recommend Precision Engineering.
