Buddy needs a steering column for a 76. Anybody know what other years will fit/work in a 76. I know their are some changes between 75, 76 and 77. I have a 77 and the dimer switch is on the colunm, not the floor like in the 76.
Also any good places to get a new complete one if can't find a decent used one.
Any 69-76 column will work. 76 is the least desirable, with the so-called "Vega Wheel" (even tho it was used on some pretty hot Camaros & Chevelles).
Unless it's an NCRS type of car, I would definitely convert to the 69-75 traditional look, Tilt-Telescopic. I believe that they are available from Paragon, Zip, etc.

I'm not familiar with your town, so I'm not sure were you are in PA, but can you get to Carlisle this weekend. I'm sure there will be some columns there.
Currently there are no stock columns being reproduced, though I know that there is a company working on repro-ing complete columns. Right now they are making individual parts and eventually will have everything produced so that they can start assembling complete columns.
Are you looking for a tlit/tele, or can you use a straight column? I have a complete straight column, including wheel, that I'll take $75.00 for. I'm leaving for Carlisle very early Wednesday morning, but if you want to take a look at the column, PM me and let me know by Tuesday evening and I will bring it out with me. I also may know someone who will have some rebuilt tilt/tele columns that I can get you a price on and confirm he'll have at Carlisle this weekend.
