Default Appraise my vette!!

I would really appreciate it if I could get a few people to appraise my car to give me a better idea for what its worth, that way I can get an idea for what it would sell for on ebay. Below is info on the car and pictures.
Thanks

1973 convertible C3 corvette it has a fresh engine in it 350 SBC/ Turbo 350 tranny starts up everytime. Way too much stuff to list and more brand new parts than I can count. It has been updated to a 1980 model front clip and tail piece. This car is super clean even underneith, Sidepipes are now hooked up and they sound great.

Motor:
New 76cc Heads
Heavy duty Valve spring for 500+ lift cam
Comp Cams Harded Push rods
Nice sounding cam Slightly more than 500 lift and around 280 duration
Cast Dish pistons
I beam rods
Stock crank
Edelbrock torker II intake
Fresh 600cfm Holley carb quick throttle responce
New plugs
New small cap distributor
New 8mm plug wires
This is a great running car and starts up everytime

Here is a list of everything that is brand new on the car:
Fuel Pump and fuel filter
Sidepipes
Electronic distributor
Custom Console
B&M Z gate shifter
aluminum radiator
New Hoses
New Belts
New Gauges
New Tanny lines
New electric Fan
New Top
New Plugs
New wires
New Cap
New Vacumm hoses
New gas tank, etc.
There are way more brand new parts than this on this car. This is all I can think of right off the top of my head.

The car does isn't perfect:
Here is what the car needs.

-The wipers hooked up.
-Speedo Cable
-Switched to Electric Tach

Gorgeous car but NOT having the Original Chrome rear-end is a MAJOR minus. It would be worth a LOT more money if you had the correct chrome bumper on the rear of the car.

That really is What makes the 73 VERY unique.

Yeah I know I wish it still had the original chrome rear bumper and front clip. I am just looking for a ball park estimate for what the car should bring about on ebay so I know what to list it at. Anybody with any opinons as to the value of this car please post it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I always subscribe to the "all modifications subtract from value" theory, but I have to disagree on the rear chrome bumper comment above.

The car is completely modified, front to back, inside and out. Its doesnt remotely resemble a '73 any more. Why would the rear chrome missing affect a car with an 80 front end??? The "uniqueness" of a '73 means nothing when you can't even tell it used to be a '73.

Honestly, Ive seen early cars converted to 80-82 convertibles and pull some decent money, because of the oddity interest factor. I sold one, which was featured in Corvette Fever, for way more than the stock '81 value the car was originally built as.

My personal opinion on this car is, the things that hurt it the most are the Eckler lights up front, the hood garnish, the speed shop sidepipes and the add-on tuner spoiler. Without that stuff, the car would have a "stock 80-82 convertible" appeal to it, which actually sells sometimes. I dont thing the engine/interior will help sales any, but thats true of all very modified cars.

I bought a 1972 with a 76 front clip installed. See pics.
I gave 11k for it last year and had to put on a new front bumper and repaired the hood, repaired/replaced a lot of the interior. Since you are looking for a rough dollar amount I'll say a convertible like yours even with all the mods should bring 9 to 11k at minimum, and more if the 81,82 body style really trips someones trigger.

You asked so here is my OPINION

The paint does not look to be well done at all.
The 70's metal flake is not very desirable
Changing the body by replacing the nose and rear bumper cost you a pile of cash.

However it IS a vert
it has a very nice interior
the engine looks well done and I see a few nice upgrades.

All in all I could see 10k if you find the right buyer. I would give you around 7500-9k if it were my money depending on what I saw at inspection.

12K -15K retail value as car sits, market is rather limited due to the mods, I'm sure there is a buyer who will love your car, there are just more buyers for original non modified cars
good luck

It seems that small block chrome bumper convertibles are now in the high teens to low 20s. This isn't a bad looking car if you like the color and the bumpers. I'd guess it would bring somewhere between 10 and 15k on ebay.

I wouldn't expect to get more than 6 or 7k. The front and rear looks like it wasn't done very well. The paint will turn off some people also. The motor looks nice, and I'm sure it cost a a good buck, but matching engines mean a lot to many people. are the "vents" on the hood real, or stuck on? One pic doesn't have them, then a couple do. 73's are gaining value, but this lacks almost all the 73 attributes. Check some prices on NOM basic small block 73's then deduct 30% for the mods.

Put it on ebay. In todays market, if you get $4500 take it.

Anywhere from 8K to 13K for your car. Why the difference? Well, your car is heavily modified. It is nicely done...but most folks either want an un-modified car OR they want to do the modifications their way. If you find a buyer that wanted an unmodified car, he would probably offer the lower dollar amount, knowing that it would cost him to put it back to stock condition. If you found someone wanting to modify the car, but not exactly like you've done it, you might get 10K for it. And...if you are very lucky...someone will show up who wants the care exactly like you've done it and he'll offer you 12-13K for it.

The real difficult you have with your situation is, how do you price the car to begin with? If you price it high and folks call to learn it is modified, they won't even bother to look at it. If you price it low, you will get a lot of 'lookers'; but if the guy who wants the car "just like it is" shows up, you've just undercut yourself. What to do???? Good luck.

List it for whatever you want. Any potential buyer will have to want your car and the mods you've made to it. All it takes is to catch one somebody's eye and you've sold it.

Good Luck.

I think the mods are really going to hurt you. How are you even going to list the car? It's not really a 73 anymore, so you can't place a value on it as if it was. Don't get me wrong it is a nice looking car. But at this point is it truly a Corvette or just a nice kit car. I'm thinking around 8k.

Good Luck with your sale...Tim

Somebody put a lot of $$ in that car, but sorry to say (since you're asking for opinions) they didn't put it in the right places.

Rear end looks like Oprah hood does'nt fit well at all and the headlights don't do a thing for me. What are the orange thingies in front of the shifter, and the sticker on the windshield???? We know it's a corvette Looks redneckie.

Sell today?? My guess is $7-9K.
