Default power brake conversion

Hey guys just bought my first corvette, 71 4spd coupe today. It has manual disc brakes and would like to convert to powerbrake booster. What all do I need to change it over? Will and orginal master cylinder and power brake booster fit?If someone sells a complete kit let me know.Nice car all new stainless brake calibers with brake lines but still could use a little more stopping power. Thanks

You can convert yours to power brake (I did it to mine) and you have two routes to do it, you can use the booster kit that's sold by many corvette parts vendors, and in this case you need to modify your firewall by cutting another hole for the rod and drilling new holes for the studs, or you can take another route by retrofitting a hydroboost system, and you can find some kits which don't require any modifications to the firewall, but both cases you need to use a different master cylinder.

You want the stock system or aftermarket? If you want the stock set up, purchase the assembly instruction manual (AIM), take a look at the factory set up, and put together a parts list. Almost everything you will need is available through the aftermarket. The diagrams in the AIM will help with the installation.

Standard and power master cylinders are different. You will need the master cylinder for power brake cars if you make the swap.
