Is there supposed to be anything to hold the caret up in the very rear above the light in a 69 convertible. There are a few holes which look like they would use the same type of rubber plug used to keep the carpet in place in the footwells.
I just replaced the carpet in my 69. Used that spray 3M trim Adhesive up there. Spray it, stick the carpet up, and I stuck a 2x2 piece of lumber up there and braced it with a long extension to give the glue a chance to set.
I didn't think there was supposed to be anything else. Do you or anyone else have a picture of what the finished product is supposed to look like. I have an idea from my old carpet, but I think it was kind of rigged. Jeremy
My 72 had the rubber plugs in the back to hold up the carpet. I also installed the rear window bracket on top of the carpet but you don't have that option.

Thanks,

If it is like the coupe, there should be 3 holes that take the same type of fastener used in front. I just finished the rear on mine and found it is easiest to push them into the hole as far as possible and then get under the car and grab them with pliers to pull them through.
