rear spring stencil number
I just pulled off the rear spring of a 1972 BB,ps,pb,ac vette with a automatic trans.
After cleaning the 7 leaf rear spring a noticed a stencil number of 21-309-219A stenciled in yellow paint on the bottom of ther spring.
anyone know if this is a orginal spring with a part number on it. Or is it a after market?

Hi crf,
The 7 leaf spring would indicate the F-41 option for your car, since the standard spring is the 9 leaf. In 1970 and 1972 that option (F-41) was only available with the ZR-1 option. So I'm thinking you have a replacement spring.
