Default 70 wheels for an 80

Looking to fit wheels from a '70 onto an '80 is the set up the same?
Notice these wheels are15" x 8.5 inches and mine are 15" x 8 inch originals?
Assuming here the backspace needs to be the same.

The 70 wheels I think were called Hurricanes, alloys with 30 odd spokes and coloured inserts.

The standard wheel for '70 models was the 15x8 ralley wheel, same as the 69-82 models. There was no 8.5" wheel.

The optional wheel cover for the 70s was the P02. These fit over standard ralley wheels.

Post a pic of what you have.

Sounds like you found some nice old custom rims. If they fit the '70, they will fit the '80 (same suspension, brakes, etc).

Post some pics.

The guy selling these now advises these were limited edition off an '82. I would like to post a pic but haven't worked out how to on this site. Any help appreciated, asks for the Pic URL FILE?

most here already know what the 82 Collectors edition wheels look like. How much does he want for them? They are not real easy to find

Around $700, these are red with the natural alloy ribs, so they should fit the '80?
I was worried the extra width was into the backspace and could cause issues.

Collector's Edition wheels were not red and they were not 8.5" wide. Here is a pic of the 1982 CE Wheels.

Here is what the old Western Hurricane wheels look like.

Here is a photo of the Western Hurricanes on a 1976 Vette.

They will fit your 80 but they are not 1982 CE wheels despite the similarities.

Thanks, think you nailed it.
The brown/bronze photo vet with the T/A's looks like it has the items I am interested in - Western Hurricanes - and CE's similar but not the same.
Thanks, really appreciate help, a likely fit, probably 8"
