I've had my C3 for ~10 years now. I've pretty much just done things to keep it running. Brakes, rear diff, suspension, fuel pump.

I recently had an alignment done on it and took a lot of grief from the wife for spending $150 for 5 hours worth of work ( a deal IMO ). They had to get everything setup after a complete front end rebuild.

I just took it for a drive on a back road. Holy crap. I love this car

Just figured I'd share. All that we do over the years is worth it.

We put alot of time, sweat and money into these cars. It is often frustrating. But on those nice days on a back country road when everything is running right, you just can't wipe the grin off your face and all is right with the world

Getting the mechanicals right is really the most gratifying. We can see all the imperfections when we stare at them, but we can feel and hear all the annoying problems when we drive them. After 10 years, it must feel great to finally have it running the way it should. Just don't ever let your wife feel you love the car more than her.
