need some help/advice
ok so on my 1980, my speedometer doesnt work, which i have pin-pointed the problem to be the gear in the transmission. the speedo cable(when turned) moves the needle on the gauge. when looking to replace it, it comes up with multiple colors and numbers of teeth. how do i know which is the correct gear? or could it be judged by the max speed on the gauge? another issue is my fuel gauge is inoperable. due to a faulty sending unit, how hard would/is it to drop the tank for replace?
