Anyone out there have some ideas on a fair fee to pay to have someone inspect a vette if you live a great distance from the car? Not talking about NCRS, simply an inspection to determine if the car is solid, if the numbers match and spend an hour or so including driving a few miles? THANKS!
Thanks. Amazing! I actually called there and they never called back! Had a tough time finding someone up that way. Besides, I have to delay anything as my niece was involved in a serious car accident and I am going to Phoenix to be with my sister. The joker I was dealing with thought I was making an excuse and raised the price of the car. Would be kind of a sick joke wouldn't you think? Maybe I should provide the news article from the paper in Phoenix. Thanks to all for the help.

Maybe that "Joker" finally just decided that it wasn't going to happen. Maybe he got tired of answering the same questions over and over and over again. Maybe after the third broken engagement to look at the car he decided enough was enough. Maybe after going out of the way to accomodate you, arranging for a lift and putting off starting an out of town job so that you could see the car after weeks of back and forth and then being told you weren't going to make it because you "didn't have anyone from a local corvette club to come with you, and by the way my neice was hurt" he just decided to move on. I'm sure he believes your neice is hurt and truly has her in his prayers, but his time is important too and this had probably gone on long enough. Flame away guys, but I doubt I'm the first guy this has happened to and you'll remember this when you're dealing with the same thing. Truly best wishes for your neice.
if I am a seller, it's 'call me and make an appointment' and I may make a special effort to meet them.. after the 1st cancellation then it only when I am home and I won't hang around waiting for them to show up if I have other stuff to do.. sure as a seller I need to make an effort to sell the car, but courtesy works both ways.
call the guy, apologize, and make a special effort to make it to see the car.
