Torque Converter Seal?????????
I am about to put a new torque converter in my 81 vette. Do I need some kind of seal on the converter before it goes on? I do have the little "O" ring on the end of the tranny shaft, It was 4 years ago I took it apart and can't remember if there was a seal on the old converter. Thanks.

The o-ring is for the TCC- torque convertor clutch. It wont' lockup without that o-ring. THe only other seal is the one in the front pump- looks like an axle seal. If you replace it, pack the backside with vaseline to keep the spring in place while you drive it in.
