I am woking on a project to document specific 1975 parts absolutely original to the car. I am looking for pics of certain items and part numbers that may or may not be listed in the AIM Manual or different from the NCRS Judging Guide. If anyone owns an original 75, please PM me for more specifics. Thanks, AL

To clarify, I am looking for items that may differ from NCRS Judging Guide... Cars built late in model year had changes that may or may not be reflected in guide. I would like to see some good pics along with build date of car for the following items. 1. Vacuum Adv hose. What is part number printed on hose. 2. AIR Pump Pulley part number with A/C and without A/C. 3. AIR Pump casting number. 4. Diverter Valve part number & broadcast code. 5. Master Cylinder embossed number on side if any. 6. Distributor Coil cover embossed date code (on end of cover). Also Distributor number and date code. 7. Door Glass code for both coupe and conv. M74 or M75? 8. Coil Spring label broadcast code. 9. Rear Bumper Energy Abs broadcast code on yellow label. 10. What kiind of Gas Cap. (Multiple caps used in 75). 11. Firestone tire stamped code VD05 or VU05? 12. Existence or non existance of a BB sized weld dot on outside of wheel lining up with a corresponding orange dot on the tire?
I will be having my car NCRS Judged and several items in the Judging Guide are not consistant with changes that took place later in the model year etc. etc. My car is a late build (April) and several items differ from the guide. Unless I can document their originality, I will be knocked down in points. Unfortionately I am one of those wierdo's that has contracted the NCRS disease and can't sleep at night unless the tiny part number on the hidden widget is correct.

...I've always felt like the '75-'77 manuals was one of the more inconsistent ones out there. You also need to remember it's just a "guide", not the "bible". There was several things that I was always "knocked down" for on both my '68 & '74s while I was having them judged. It's just kinda the way it is. There isn't enough original Bowtie/Survivor type cars on these years surfacing to be judged to change the manuals. I had the disease for a short period, then caught another one.
Hi G65,
I understand the disease!
I would encourage you to work on documenting those items you listed but go into Flight Judging thinking you'll lose points on all of them.
Then... concentrate on getting ALL the OPS points to make up for those you lose.
I helped judge Operations on 16 cars at the Gettysburg Regional a few weeks ago; 68-69 and 70-72. If I remember correctly, only 4 cars got all their operations points.
As time goes by you'll probably be able to document some of the items on your list if you persevere, but don't let waiting for that documentation spoil the pleasure of having you car judged now.
Regards,
Alan
