How the heck do I get the hinge pivot screw out? Even if i fold the seat in half so it doesnt pivot that sucker is in there. I noticed the replacement screws come with a nut on them The originals screw into a nut plate. Does this mean im drilling them out? Help!! LOL
They make a tool that's an impact screwdriver with different size bits for various size screws. If you had axcess to one of them it may work.
Or use a good pair of vise grips and grab anold of the exposed threads and break it loose. Then you may have to cut or grind off the messed up threads and finish removing them.
I have a cheap impact screwdriver and was only able to get one or two of them out ths way and had to remove the others with vise grips.
I hit it good with PB blaster and a few taps of a hammer. I have a huge screwdriver that I put a wrench on for leverage and hit that a few times with a hammer and it broke loose. I've seen those impact screwdrivers that you hit with a hammer like someone recommended and that would work too.
Got it out, vise grips!! Funny the passenger side looks like it had the replacement type screws. Anyway I got them out. And dissasembled the seats. I documented everything I did (mostly) on video. (photobucket)
