Default 74 Marker Lights

I need some education on the front and rear 'Marker Lights'

My 74 Roadster did not have any of the lights installed, so I am looking for a set.

It seems that there are '73-Early 74' and 'Late 74-79' sets available.

What is the difference? I have tried to compare pictures and it looks like the lens color is darker on the earlier ones .. but that is about it.

Are they physically the same?

The earlier style has a chrome plated diecast steel body, the later lamps have a gray plastic body and a chrome outer edge. Physically the lamps are the same, as are the lenses installed in them, including the markings on the lenses.

The die cast ones are a much nicer piece for only a few bucks more.
