Mine has been mostly siting in the garage. Seems like I have less & less time to spend on her.
If the price was right I think I'd sell her too and get a newer vette. I'm not as young as I used to be and the joints are starting to hurt. I can't spend an afternoon under my vette like I had in the past. Getting old suks.
I could probably afford the repairs on a newer vette, but to hire someone to fix a 40 year old car can get expensive.....especially when most mechanics don't even know what a Holley DP is....it's almost a lost art. Seems now a days mechanics are lost without their computers & scanners.

this was one of the reasons I sold. At 6'5" 265lbs I was to big to get in and out. When I did my knees would ache!!! I actually got stuck in the car the day the guy came and picked it up! The vert top was up when I drove it up on the trailor. When I tried to get out, the door would not open up far enough for me to get my legs out. We had to lower the top and windows so I could climb out. That is when I really knew that the car was to small for me!!!
Nobody could ever fault you for lack of effort and determination! You did a lot (and learned a lot I'm sure) with that old toy and probably picked a great time to let it go.
I hope that evil spell stays with that car and your next endeavor is a fun one!
