gauges

will 76 gauges work in my 79???? is there anything different if so what am i looking for???? thanks for the help

I'm not sure what year it happened, but the gauges went from round to squared-off on the bottom for 79. The 79 tach is electronic also as opposed to mechanical for earlier years. I think 76 had the electronic tach but I don't know if the gauges are still round for that year.

You should be able to find new or used 79 gauges fairly easily. 79 was the highest production year for C3's so there are a lot of used parts available.

76=round
78=square.

Cant fit a round peg in a square hole.
