Default cross member install help - pics

hey all,

I'm attempting to reinstall my cross member with rear differential attached. I've cleaned the round metal frame pieces that slide into the cross member in order to make install easier. The problem is the cross member doesn't seem to pull all the way up when tightening the bolt. I've tried putting the floor jack under and jacking but that just lifts the car. any ideas on how to snug ut up tight?

thanks,

andy

Default moving on

I pulled the bolt out and it is seated completely snug. I guess this gap is normal.

That doesn't look bad,if the threads the bolt is going into is just inside the hole then your done. I went back and looked at the link I sent you and it appears to be too close but it could be the angle of the pic.

Yes the gap is normal. It does not sit flush like you think it should. You are fine right there.

Looks right to me too. After you drive it you could check the bolt torque again to confirm.
