Default Engine ID Help

This is in my 81 that I bought this week, numbers not matching, so not my L81. This is what I can make out on this...

3970010 (1980 L48 or L82 ?)

____
371
388
84

____
F 22 6 (June 22, 1976?)

____
Vin for what I can read on the block:

C5Z150919V0628TYZ

Any help with this would be appreciated!

Mike

TYZ is 1975 350 4bbl 165hp pickup truck C10-2500

3970010 is a 4" bore block used in many different Chevy vehicles. Can be 2 or 4 bolt mains.

Not original, but an OK place to start.

That's two different stamps.

C5Z150919 is the VIN derivitive of the vehicle this engine was originally isntalled in. This number is not Corvette.

V0628TYZ is the engine code.
V Flint, Michigan engine assembly plant
0628 June 28th; date the engine was assembled at Flint
TYZ engine suffix code indicating 75-77 truck engine.
