I've noticed this, too...but now is the time to pick-up a Harley, compared to even 5 years ago, used ones seem to be dirt-cheap!
Boy isn't THAT the truth!! I've seen some ads for Harleys and Vettes where I actually had to look 2-3 times just to make sure I wasn't missing something....like a blown motor...transmission...or some other various detrimental things wrong with it. So far as what I've seen on Corvettes, either they are dirt cheap, or the seller has it priced too high. Really no in betweens there. If ONLY I had more money!! Maybe a Corvette Forum Member Bailout....
It's not just bikes and cars, I have been trying to sell a nautical antiques collection....can't get 10%, trying to sell my McIntosh stereo system, but no one is interested either....
I have moved on to other interests, and have no basic use of them any more, but be damned if I give it away.....
maybe I"ll bust up for parts....sell it that way...
This is the big "Hope and Change" THEY were promised. I didnt vote for that scumbag. You will be hard pressed to find somebody that DID vote for him around here.
Happy Fathers Day from Louisiana.
Yea, too bad we couldn't get Bush for a third term. Darn term limmits.....
A friend of mine has for 20 years been saving 2 vettes for his son and daughter, one a nice red 67 coupe with air, 4 speed and knock offs, the other a 66 396 convertible, w/hardtop and side exhaust. When the two little darlings started driving, he got a new Mustang and she got some kind of Cadillac. No interest in the vettes at all, and they were free. Next time you're about, take a serious look at the age group of people that take a serious interest in these old cars. And when they're gone........less demand......
Evidently the car guy thing is not genetic but rather learned behavior. They probably grew up listening to their father cussing and swearing every time he busted a knuckle or had to order another expensive part.
