price spread
During my search for my next corvette I have come across a huge spread in prices for cars in very similiar condition. I have found 4 speed cars that I would rate a 7 out of 10 going from 7k-16k. What is a reasonable price for a daily driver c3? NADA has them for 10k+

hard to answer .some years are worth more than others .how many miles on it .and how well its been taken care of.every car is only worth what some one will pay.when you find the right color and year you wll be surprised what you will pay.keep looking till you find the one you have to have at a price that you are willing to pay.

The outer bodies of Corvettes don't rust, but there are lots of places where corrosion and hidden crash damage can hide under a quickie shiny paint job. Non original drivetrain parts like engines, transmissions and rear ends generally detract from value as well. It can cost upwards of 5 to 10 thousand dollars to strip, perfect and repaint one of these cars so bad paint is a downer unless you're a body man. A completely refreshed interior can cost 2 to 3 grand easily as well.... it doesn't take long to get "upside down" in renovating one of these cars in today's soft market.
I recommend you research this site, read all you can on these cars and try to have a forum member or other knowledgeable person inspect any car you're serious about buying before you end up with a "3" you were sold as an "8".
