This past weekend I attended a Vette cruise with 20 other vettes. I was the only C3. The group included a 60, many Z06's, C5's, C6's and a brand new ZR1. We were all lined up and a couple of gentlemen walked up to me in the line and said "yours is the only real corvette in the group". I took this as the C3 is the most recognizable and popular out of all models. I was happy to hear their comments. If it were only a couple of beautiful 20 something girls then my day would have been made even more.

They are all real corvettes, just the older the better.. sure there are exceptions, but don't you think most people would rather have a 79 over a 89, or a 69 over a 79, or a mid year over a 76?, a 58 over a 68?
I got the best old car for my money when I bought mine, that's what a classic car enthusiast is all about.. sure I could have spent triple for a nice mid year...

Even after being here for 10YEARS I still find funny how some people's egos are so fragile they had to chime in about "there are no Corvettes made after 1967" instead of allowing the man to take a compliment after all his hard work..

I love ALL generations... I'm amazed by how each generation is different and I spend a lot of time learning the differences from year to year. I have a c3, 2-c4's, and a c5.... three generations down - 3 to go...(until the c7 comes out) !
