Wow that is awesome, congratulations to you and your son.
My son is 9 and I told him the other day that as soon as he could reach the petals, no matter how old he is, I would teach him how to drive my '70 Vert. But your pics give me even more ideas.

My daughter is 10 and she first drove the vette on the infield of the Daytona Speedway last fall. She loved it, but none of her 5th grade buddies believed her without pics.

thank you all for the nice comments. his wedding gift was i paid for his honeymoon. a week in JAMAICA. unfortunately i dont think he will ever get the vette because hes not really into old cars like me. hes more a sports nut. i told my wife when im gone i prefer her to sell car rather than give it to him ONLY because he would run it in the ground in no time. he bought a honda civic new in 07 which is getting ratty looking already. otherwise hes as good a son as you could ask for. NUTSY.
Everyone is different and the both of you are happy. I'm sure you two have had great times with the car while he was growing up. Great wedding gift by the way, they'll cherish that trip forever.Now my daughter is game for anything, wants the vette, but painted pink, but she's a papa's girl, had her playing around running a track backhoe at 7, learned to run a forklift at 8 and now the car. I'm getting scared. She started the dribbles (period) at 10. I already miss the baby times, too sentimental. It's far too fast.
You'll soon have the grandkids drooling over that gorgeous car. Get ready with the carseats.
