Who is using it

I was looking at the gearshift lockout cable on my 73 when I was getting ready to put the steering column back and it is in really bad shape and about to break. I am thinking about tossing it. It seems like a major PITA anyway. What do you guys think. I have the bracket and cable out so now is the time to make up my mind.

thanks but I am manual guess I will get a new one and keep it
