thanks to all the posters. i am looking for a 71 or 72 coupe with a/c and a 4 spd. i don't care too much about power windows, i was just curious. it did seem though that most of the cars for sale, at least in my area, had some but not all of the options i am looking for. after some careful consideration i think i will keep looking until i see the right car at the price i can afford. the wife would like me to wait until our house remodel is done to see just how much i can spend. in fact, most of the california cars i saw online were convertibles, which i am not interested in. and of course if i had enough money i could get any number of the project cars out there and do a full restore. in any case i probably won't make a purchase until next summer, but i have a lot of info thanks to you guys.
