Default Body mount replacement questions

I started tearing into this project this weekend, and I guess I wasn't prepared for what a monumental undertaking it became.

The 2 rear mounts, I wrestled off last year and replaced so no problem there.

The 4 middle mount bolts came out easily enough.

Could NOT break the 2 front mounts loose no matter how much profanity I threw at them. I fought them for a couple hours, then gave up, cleaned myself off, and headed to Advance for a nut splitter. I'll attack them again tonight.

Anyhow, I've been using Rudolph's writeup here...

http://www.europeancorvette.com/html...eplacement.htm

But I really don't want to take off that front bumper cover. I mean I see why it has to come off because it prevents access to the frame extension bolt, and the frame extensions cover one of the 4 front support bolts on either side.

But I have a theory...

What if I took off the 3 accessible front support bolts, got all the body mounts loose, and then pivoted the entire body upwards from the rear to access the 4 middle mounts? Would that work or am I crazy? :

OR has anyone devised a way to get to the 4 middle mounts without pulling off the front bumper cover? :

If You really want to try that I would not pry the body up from the rear as the nose will probably break. You should be able to use a steel plate turned sideways slid up inside sill plate. Have a floor jack on a block of wood so wheels can't roll then slowly start pushing side up and You will only get enough to slip fingers underneath and work by feel. Don't forget to have all body mounts loose and doors open as You will need to shim after to get Your door gaps back. Once You get Your bolts out the rest is pretty easy.
