Garage Equipment Supply is offering a special but curious if any CFers have experienced the MaxJax. It is essentially a portable two-post lift with height limited to a few feet, designed for the home shop with limited height and space.
For convenience, portability, and compact storage, nothing beats the MaxJax portable two-post lifting system by Dannmar Equipment.
No experience here though. Seems to me if you are routinely bolting and unbolting these to your floor anchors, over time, those floor anchors may weaken.

I have had one since they came out. It is GREAT to work on the Vette's as well as the lawn mower, neighbor's MC, kid's BMW etc, etc....It only lifts to 48", but that is high enough to do anything I want to
I see you must use for both the C2 and C6. How is it to get up under the C6? Do you do any chassis detail work? and how is it for that type work?

The Z06 is the most difficult..I drive up on some 1" plywood and the arms fit perfectly...(no problem really!). I have done some bottom detailing, and the lift is completely out of the way except for the lifting areas. I put an entire Z06 exhaust on the wife's 05 A4 Convertible and would not have even tried it without the lift...
I dont know about the certifications, but the lift is solid and the customer service has been very good!

So when you do that type work, do you use a stool and roll around? How's oil changes?

Anything you don't like about it?
I have a Snap On roll around adjustable stool (sometimes its too tall) and a creeper (if I want to lower the car and work laying down
It took me awhile to find the right way to the oil drain pan up to the car to keep it from splashing but a few 5 gal buckets works out well. I'm thinking of getting the roll around oil change container from Garage Equipment supply though.
For what it is designed for, and the limits of a residential garage, I have no complaints at all. Well worth the $$. IF I had the ceiling height and more room for a dedicated lift, I would definitely go with a full size asymetrical lift....but I don't

I think I've watch Jay Leno roll around underneath, hawking the lift.

I'm in the same boat...and have looked at many doing the math but the suckers are monsterous when you have limited space. So the MaxJet offers options. Why are most "low profile" units still rated at 7,000 - 10,000 pounds when sports vehicles weight 1/2 to 1/3 those design parameters?
Because the side lift points on (the C6's at least) Corvette's are close together, the lift posts need to be further apart. I spaced mine at 130" and they work great, just a little extension on the arms, but enough play so I dont have to be EXACT with the car placement.

That looks sweet. Tho your garage has the width, I can see unless you punched a hole in the ceiling, the MaxJax is the ticket.
Shipping is free only to the closest freight terminal (here it was Con-Way Freight). You go to the terminal and pick it up if you have access to a truck with a full size bed. Delivery to your house will be extra.
