Mississippi Title?
Does anyone know if Mississippi is a Title state or just a registration state? reason I'm asking is I am looking at a vette and the guy only has a bill of sale. I 'm not going to purchase if I can not get it registered or titled to me. Thanks

Mississippi became a title state on July 1, 1969. If the car was originally sold before that day, and has never been titled, you can produce two bills of sale (the BOS that the previous owner got, and the billo f sale to you, and you could tiltle the car in Mississippi. If the car was originally sold (New) after Julty 1, 1969, it has been previously titled, and the Previous owner has the title, or someone else has the title. If you have a friend in Law enforcement, they could run the VIN and tell you who owns the car.
