Yes you could. It's a very simple piece of material, very similar to mud-flap material that trucks use (thin conveyor belt material would also work). It is about 4" wide and therefore adds about 2 additional inches to the bottom of the spoiler. The upper part benefits from the added rigidity of having the spoiler behind it while the lower part remains flexible enough to easily go over most curbs without being damaged and still retaining its shape.

The only additional cut is that there is a slight cut with a small gap in the middle that allows the extension to curve with the spoiler. It attaches with small bolts (you could certainly use pop rivets) and has two thin strips of metal on the backside of the spoiler to help retain it's shape.
