Default Gas Pedal Pin

How do you remove the pin that the gas pedal pivots on? I want to replace the pedal on my 74 but the pin doesn't move. Is it pressed in? or just rusted in after 30 some years?

You just have to push it out from the left side with a screw driver or something while jiggling the pedal a bit and it should come out. Just dont loose the spring, it might pop out!
It is a pain to put back on though, dont remember exactly how i did but it took a lot of swearing!
That was on a 76 though, so im not 100% sure its the same...

Does anyone have a pic or diagram of how the spring should be configured? I got mine together but I'm pretty sure its wrong.

GOT IT!!!
Had to break off the old pedal and heat the pedal arm with a torch because the pin was rusted in. A couple taps with a punch after heating and it came right out.
