is there a way to replace the mounting studs that are rivoted into the housing? Surely some one of you creative guys has come up with some inventive way of going about this. I really dont want to have to buy a new one since they cost over 50.00 a piece!

Think I just drilled out the stud from the reflector side and put in a bolt.
I seem to recall some studs broke off. Been a while since I worked on
this area. Never pass NCRS judging but holds the housing in.
BB that's what I was hoping to hear.... after thinking about it I was figuring I could just drill out the crappy little soft metal suds and replace with a bolt! I am glad you confirmed what I was thinking!
Broke all my studs when i removed mine! and was not going to pay $50. ea to replace them.
I started by drilling out the existing studs, sandblasting my housings & then tack welded 1/4" X 1" pan head machine screws on . I welded so it would be a permanent repair and because the light harness provides a ground to the housing.
I finished up by spraying with a reflective silver paint. Saved $200. that could be used for more important things
