Default Timing for 71 LT1

I have a 71 LT1 and need to know what the timing should be set to. The car has a hrydraulic cam and lifters and a new Mallory distributor of that makes a difference. I'm looking for a close to stock tune and would like to know what to set the timing to. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

Seems that any LT1 specific questions lately brings on the wrath of a certain member who feels the need to lash out, so maybe everyone is a little shy to respond.

The simplistic answer is to set the timing as per service manual or the emissions sticker under the hood.

Alternatively, look for posts by Lars or Barry K that give an excellent rundown on how to set the timing for best all round performance. This latter suggestion is the way I'd go.
