Default B post picture

I am thinking of adding shoulder belts to my 72. I have 1980 C3 seats but want one piece shoulder belts. Does anyone have any detailed pictures of the inside B post on a later C3 with the belt mount?

The 78-82 used a single belt and retractor, unlike 77 and earlier Corvettes which used two retractors, one each for the lap and shoulder belts. 78-82 retractors attach to the "B" pillar, while the other end of the belt attaches to the floor by the door sill and the male end of the buckle slides up and down the length of the belt.

I would think you could adapt 78-82 belts to your 72, but from a safety stand point, I would be very careful about doing it properly.

The first photo below shows the retractor attaching point in the "B" pillar of an 80 (left, drivers side shown). All it is is a nut welded into the steel birdcage structure of the targa roof. The second picture shows the 80 retractor (loosely) mounted in place.
