79 production numbers
I am trying to find some detailed production numbers for the 79 Corvette. I have done the internet and found hundreds of pages with basic infofmation. What I am trying to find is how many were Yellow with the L82 and 4 speed combo. Can anybody direct me to a good site with more detailed information

i can tell you it's going to be a low #. most 79 were autos. you can find out how many were yellow. then find out how many were l-82s. then find out how many were 4-speeds. its going to be a guesstamate. you will nevr know exactly how many were like this

The best you could say is that you have one of 2357 yellow vettes produced that year. Unless you contact the other 2356 buyers and look at their info and narrow it down. You could be 1/1 
The 4062 is the close ratio number. There were 12,353 total 4spds.
Theoretically you could get copies of all 53,806 invoices from Vaughn ($50each) and then narrow it down. be expensive $2,690,350.00

There's a perfect example of why the multiplying of options to calculate rarity is a false and futile method is to consider what the statistics say should exist vs. reality:
