Default Tires

I finally got around to getting new tires for the 70. I forgot how good a car could feel with new tires. No more vibration in the steering wheel & no more feeling like all the belts had slipped in the tires. It was raining when I went in this morning to get the new tires put on & it was sure evident that it was past due. I could actually feel the car slide sideways in curves. Glad I finally got off my lazy rear & did it.

What color is that car? Your avatar pic looks a LOT like my '68 vert.

The color is what they called Marlboro Maroon or red if I remember right. The mind is the first to go , right or is it the eyesight?

Am,

What size and brand tire did you acquire, please?

There has been some discussion on here that the more popular BFG Radial T/A sizes, 235x60x15, for example, are becoming harder to find.

Thank you in advance,

Rickman

I bought the BFG 225 70R15. I had GY on it when we bought it 12 years ago & after 2 or 3 years we replaced them with more GY. I don't think we have more than 12-15,000 on the car since we had it. I was not going to put a soft tire on again. I've only driven home on them about 15 miles but so far I like them.
