Default Backfires and misses
I installed a Crane XR-i points replacement several years ago. Recently, after a short full throttle blast, the car started running rough. I checked the timing today and it was erratic. The dwell was also 16. Could the module be bad. Any way to test them?

I'm guessing you slipped a tooth or two on the timing set.

Maybe the dist. spun in heavy take off ?
My module went bad in my 75 it was eratic till one time it died and stayed dead, it was the center copper wire on the coil it had broken off of the connector .
