Recommend a manual
Hey guys, I finally got my first corvette and as I am working on a few things I realized I had not gotten any kind of manual and was wondering which flavor would be best to purchase, for repair purposes.

Get the assembly instruction manual from any vendor. This is the instructions on how GM built your car. There are also service manuals available too from these vendors. A Chilton or Hayes manual is OK but not thorough enough for a major undertaking.

get a wiring diagram also, you will find you can't live without it, get one that is one piece and laminated, the one in the AIM is pretty poor and several pages.. lectric limited or most of the major parts houses have them.

The "Owner's Manual" is a nice-to-have thing...but it is relatively useless if you have the other manuals. You NEED the A.I.M. for your year and the Chevrolet Chassis Service Manual. Those are indispensible, if you work on your car. You may also want to consider getting a CD-rom copy of the AIM. I have both the paper and CD versions....and use them both.
