Default 70 Vette Engine Suffix Question

I am looking at a picture of the engine pad on a 70 vert with 4spd, AC and power steering. It has a CTD suffix and that doesn't compute as original according to my info. I would like further opinions on this.

Hi jr,
I believe the CTD suffix was for the 1970, 350/300, 4-speed, engine/trans combination. Only the 350/350 was affected if it had a/c, the code changed from CTH to CTJ, and to CTQ with a/c and t/i.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks Alan. I have a book of Corvette ID #s and it did not list this suffix but I have known that to happen before. Thanks again for your input.

It's good to have a copy of the Black book. Has all this info in it.
