Can anyone tell me what engine i have?
The only numbers i can find is pass side next the head.

Hmm, if it's stock, I think it would be either the 180hp 305 "Calif. Only" LG4 or the 230hp 350.

i doubt it is stock....looks like the car is a one of a kind with parts from all over....lol
Its an 80 with 82 collector dark blue interiour with a 75? rear convetible clip on it
I call it Carlisle on wheels...lol

You should find two machine stamps on the pad on the block at the front of the right head. First stamp (large characters) will identify the engine; second stamp (smaller characters) will be the VIN derivitive of the vehicle the engine was originally instaled in.

thanks mike..i will see if the smaller numbers are there as well..i dont recall seeing them
is there a way tyo decode the numbers?

you need the 3 letters after the date code on the block located on the tab at the front of the pass. head


for examples easy mikes

?0807ZAH first letter is the plant which i cant make out in his pick then date 08/aug 07/ 7thday ZAH -350 L48 195 Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 (Federal Emissions)
