I'm taking steps to return my '80 to the street as a "frequent" driver. The previous owner was not careful about keeping things reasonably original and in order, mostly under the hood. The interior needs a little work, but I can figure that part out without too much trouble. I would really like to make the underhood area more presentable but getting the wiring where it should be, hoses and vacuum lines routed correctly, general appearance, etc has proved to be a little troublesome. Is there a source for information, pictures, diagrams, and such available without a major investment? I'm not restoring the car (it looks mostly stock but with mild, tasteful updates and some performance enhancements) but I would like it to be decently correct in appearance. Your help is appreciated!

Get a year specific shop manual and maybe an AIM. I got an AIM for my 81 but haven't found it particularly usefull but some guys swear by them.

I have the AIM for it, but for getting things to "look" right it's not much help. AIM give more of a schematic view of things and is very useful for dis-assembly and re-assembly. I need to see the finished product similar to what rolled off the assembly line. Again, I'm not trying to restore it, just wanting to make it look right. The devil is in the details.

You may need to visit the NCRS site and see what they have for purchase.

To look correct, maybe someone could post pictures, or if you attend car shows - take pictures of what you are needing.....
