does anyone know where the original 1965 mako shark is located? last i knew GM owned it. ??

I last saw it at the assembly plant. It might now be at the Museum.

It is at the GM Heritage Center. I was there 2 weeks ago.

Gee, I wonder why the "Firebird III" never made it to production? It seems a far cry from the one we got in 1967!

I think the only thing to stay was the screaming chicken on the hood.

The mako shark II was rebodied and became GMs Manta Ray.
It is seen in the pics above....
Quite a car, but I wish they would have left it alone.
