Can someone tell me what the physical difference is between coupe and convertible door glass? The passenger side glass in my 69 will not adjust high enough to meet the T-Top WS. Could the vert door glass be shorter than the coupe?
The vertical edge to the rear is closer to straight up and down on a coupe. The convertible angles inward towards the front of the car. Look at the comparative rooflines netween a coupe and a roadster and it will be obvious.
Also, early/late '69 window channels on the bottom were 2 different designs. 2 different design windows.. Maybe you have an incorrect window for your door.
If you had convertible glass, you'd have a gap at the B-pillar. Conv. glass won't work in a coupe at all. The 68-69E glass mounts differently and uses different tracks than the 69L-82 glass. It wouldn't be easy to make one type glass fit in the other type tracks.
I agree with Mike, it's probably out of adjustment, or the nylon rollers in the tracks and regulator, are so worn that they're keeping the glass from going all the way up.
I worked on the adjustments till very late last night and got frustrated and decided to retry today. I used the AIM and today will look at the service manual to see if I am missing something. I had everything loose and the window just won't lift high enough to close the gap at the t-top. It is hard to see anything that might be stopping it from coming up. Back at it later today
I did check both drivers and passengers and both are dated the same. YX Oct 1968. Car build date Dec 1968

Did you loosen the stops at the top of the guide channels? There are a couple stops in the channels which set a maximum height the window can reach. Could be they're set a bit low right now? Regulators in good condition? Tight?
Hi 69,
My first thought was the same as BB's... the upper stops.
Is one of the bolts holding some part in place on the door too long, thus preventing the regulator from completing it's travel?

Alan
