Default saying hello

Hi all ! Been awhile since last time here. Hope all is well! Always been a good forum to go to. Have this 1974 L82 4 speed in my shop for a long time (years). I keep the insurance and tag on it, drive it couple times a year. I have at least put it for sale once a year too. I'm thinking of working on it this winter on some of the things that need to be fixed. First is the windows, car had p.w. they don't work. The driver side door has parts missing and the wire harnest pulled out of the door's. Looked like last owner was going to convert to manual windows. I'm thinking at this point to go ahead to manual windows. What do you think and were can I get the parts?

Are both power windows not working? Any more details?

I had a window relay go bad a while ago; that will cause both windows to not work. In my 75 its located under the center console, under the radio.

Thanks but it's more than the relay with the power windows not working. Does anyone know of a conversion for power windows to manual set up for sale? Thanks

You might want to repair the windows you have.

On my 72 it has manual windows and I looked a lot of places and never could find many repair parts for them it looked like every where I looked they had plenty of parts for power widows. I went ahead and repaired my regulators by welding the teeth back on nd grinding them back out and replaceing the bushings. Also on the crank handles it is hard to find some with out wore out bushings.

Keep the powered. It is just not that complicated. Test the motors, test the switches, test continuity. Mine was as simple as the connectors falling off the switch.
