During my 1969 restoration I bought a repro inside RV mirror. Looks fine, grey outside, right size. I don't think this model is dated, so that wasn't an issue.
Now that it's in, its kinda loose. Doesn't seem to be the best built. Anyone buy a high-end repro and like it? There's no date, right?
Hi vb,
From your post I'm thinking that the arm that attaches the mirror back to the header bracket is loose. There is a retainer for the ball end of the arm that can be bent to put more tension on the arm.
Also, the hole in the arm that the mirrror itself attaches to had a bushing in it originally, is yours there?
I'm looking in the 71 AIM, UPC 1, Sheet E 11.
Regards,
Alan
